Islamic fundamentalism is heavily covered by the media in the West. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is an international Muslim organization that strives for peace and human rights all around the world. They are also heavily involved in disaster relief. Present in 204 nations, their reach of influence is, reportedly, in the millions. Yet Western media has not focused at all on their accomplishments, which have been climbing upward for over a hundred years before the birth of current media personalities like the Islamic State. This appears to be a deaf ear turned to an organization that has a great deal more cultural education and connections in the Middle East. Should we be giving these organizations more of a voice? How could their history and education in Islam help us with the current unrest in the Middle East?
