According to two unnamed, but confirmed, reliable sources with direct knowledge of an FBI probe into an alleged hacking scheme by the Russian Government, hackers stole gigabits of data from J.P Morgan Chase and one other American financial institution. The alleged hacking took place around August 15, 2014 and is purported to be a direct retaliation to American derived economic sanctions.

Authorities are also investigating whether or not sensitive data was stolen from European financial institutions. The hackers allegedly infiltrated layers of security through the banks' website, after finding software vulnerabilities.

Tensions clearly continue to rise between Russia and the rest of the western world. Given the situation in Ukraine and the increasingly negative exchanges between Moscow and the United States, will Obama be able to deal with the situation diplomatically?
