Integrating Technology with Medicine

FDA has approved the first 3D pill to be printed for controlling seizures. Technological advances have allowed 3D printing for prosthetics, architechtural structures, toys, and much more. New technological advances have allowed printers to adapt and produce pharmaceutical compounds rather than polymers to create the 3D printed pills. This will allow for the medication to be smaller in size and contain a higher dosage of the medication. This would greatly help with individualizing medication for patients, but as one could imagine might be quite costly. Interesting thought.
