NSA whistleblower, Edward Snowden, spoke with Al Jazeera English about the Clinton email scandal during an interview. Snowden claims Hillary Clinton damaged national security secrets while she served as Secretary of State by using a personal email server to conduct business. Clinton set up a personal email server in a bathroom closet of her New York home during her entire tenure as Secretary of State. The FBI is currently investigating the issue and recently confiscated the server, which was 'wiped' clean before being turned over as evidence. Several emails that were one the server have been marked as classified.

Snowden claims Clinton's actions clearly exposed government secrets despite her repeated assertions that her server did not expose any classified information:

"When the unclassified systems of the United States government, which has a full-time information security staff, regularly gets hacked, the idea that someone keeping a private server in the renovated bathroom of a server farm in Colorado is more secure is completely ridiculous."

"If an ordinary worker at the State Department or the Central Intelligence Agency, or anything like that, were sending details about the security of embassies, which is alleged to be in her emails, meetings with private government officials, foreign government officials and the statements that were made to them in confidence over unclassified email systems, they would not only lose their jobs, and lose their clearance, they would very likely face prosecution, Snowden continued."
